“No you don’t understand, we speak differently with our close friends than we do with our work colleagues. We speak with a different tone and tenor with our mother than we do our friends. When a strange white person comes in we adopt a whole new vocabulary! Also we enjoy large meals at night time with our family and friends, the meals can last for hours just talking and enjoying each other’s company. We put spices on our food. We put meat inside dough and fry it, it’s unlike anything you’ve ever had. There’s a bag full of other bag in the bottom of the closet.”
